Garden to Cafeteria

Garden to cafeteria

The Mill Road Garden doesn't just talk the talk, we put our mustard greens where our mouth is, literally! Environmental education doesn't stop when we leave the garden, the kitchen and cafeteria are equally valuable classrooms for growing minds and bodies. The fruits and vegetables that our students help plant, grow, and harvest are sent to our dedicated and skillful food service staff so they can be incorporated as part of our daily diets. The connections we make to nutrition are invaluable as we go through life, helping us develop healthy relationships with food and the people and processes that produce it. After all, there is just something better about homegrown!
