To conclude their three-week reading incentive program, Mill Road students and teachers enjoyed a luau.
The program began May 12 on a day when every student went outside to enjoy reading on a sunny day in the grass around the school. The party on May 30 featured a barbeque lunch, icy snacks and more than a dozen games and activities, from “Starfish Tic Tac Toe” and “Seahorse Races” to “Shark Bite Corn Hole.” There was also a “Shark Attack Photo Booth” and a “Hawaiian Tattoo Station.”
